Winter 2012 has kicked off with a burst of motion.  Hot on the heals of Jstat's well received 'Reaction Formation,' we're building out the Form and Structure catalog and expanding our digital realm.  At the same time Dimentia is slated to be featured on a podcast (details soon….) and Additiv is back in the Bay Area primed to collaborate on upcoming events.  Not to stop there, we've gotta slew of releases coming out and a Void Tactical european tour in the works.  2012 is the year of the Dragon...

- FS005: Redrot: Eight Legged EP

We're absolutely ecstatic to be releasing Redrot's next EP, containing some of the hardest hitting industrial floor you're going to find.  We've known Ryan for a long time, and his combination of musical flexibility with a distinctive and honed style continues to make him one of the most exciting artists to emerge out of the Detroit broken beat / noise industrial crossover. - FS004: Intergalacterrorist: Heresy

The second release in an early february double barrel, the Heresy EP welcomes Intergalacterrorist to the Void Tactical clan.  Get up to speed on this release as well at http://www.formandstructure.org/    As with the Redrot, full quality downloads are available for no minimum, but please do remember that while 'buying' a digital file still seems to be pushing commercialization on a scarcity free resource, the financial aid we get from our core supports goes a long way towards building the label - so chip in in you've got it.


- The Dancing Star #2 : A Consistent Basis

It's been a tumultuous year in politics and media, and it's only going to get crazier as the world careens into an apparently unavoidable sci-fi apocalyptic weirdness.  Inspired by resurgent anarchistic ideals, we're pleases to published the second edition of The Dancing Star, this time featuring a plain talk look at the fundamental ethic of autonomy. - Excession Detroit

Our yearly convergence in Detroit winter has already come and gone, but we wanted to followup one last time to thanks to everyone who came out to check Void in it's home environment.  Metria gave us one of the best set's we've heard all year, Little Mack busted out a modified bass for a doom intro, and WMX absolutely killed it - not to mention great sets from Additiv, Key, Killx8, Split Horizon, and Watabou.  It's exactly the music we want to hear and only so often do we get it in one place with the soundsystem to do it justice.  


- Little Mack - Headache 

Round-a-bout mid December we got Little Mack's Headache out.  Most listeners have probably check it by now, but if not dig a little deeper on  http://voidtacticalmedia.bandcamp.com/album/headache  for a nice reflection on his developing sound.  Write up: 7 tracks documenting the long standing Little Mack project of Josh Hedges. A mainstay of the Southeastern Michigan broken beat breakcore scene for over a decade, this album presents a progression of old and newer tracks as his style has grown up in austere post-industrial midwestern America.
